4th-quarter 2022 estimated tax payment due
If you're self-employed or have other fourth-quarter income that requires you to pay quarterly estimated taxes, get them postmarked or paid electronically by January 15, 2023.
Partnership & S Corporation tax returns due for tax year 2022
If your business is classified as a partnership or an S corporation, you must submit your tax return on March 15 or the 15th day of the third month after the end of your organization's tax year. Partnerships must complete Form 1065, which is used to generate a Schedule K-1 earnings statement for each partner. For S corporations, Form 1120S is needed to prepare the Schedule K-1.
Partnerships and S corporations may request a six-month extension by submitting Form 7004 along with a deposit equal to the amount of estimated tax owed. In this case, the annual tax return along with interest and penalties will be due on September 15.
New York State's Pass-Through Entity Tax
Taxpayers must opt in to the (“NYS PTET”). The deadline to make the election for tax year 2023 is March 15, 2023. For the 2022 NYS PTET return, the due date is also March 15, 2023.
1st-quarter 2023 estimated tax payment due
If you're self-employed or have other income that requires you to pay quarterly estimated taxes, get your Form 1040-ES postmarked or paid electronically by this date.
Individual tax returns due for tax year 2022
The due date for filing tax returns and making tax payments is April 18, 2023. If you haven't applied for an extension, e-file or postmark your individual tax returns by midnight. The Individual Tax Return Extension Form for Tax Year 2022 is also due on this day.
Last day to make a 2022 IRA contribution
If you haven't already funded your retirement account for 2022, do so by April 18, 2023. That's the deadline for a contribution to a traditional IRA, deductible or not, and a Roth IRA. However, if you have a Keogh, SEP, or other eligible plan and you get a filing extension to October 16, 2023, you can wait until then to put 2022 money into those accounts.

3rd-quarter 2023 estimated tax payment due
If you're self-employed or have other income that requires you to pay quarterly estimated taxes, make sure your third-quarter payment is postmarked or paid electronically by September 15, 2023.
Extended Partnership & S-Corporation tax returns due
If you got a filing extension on your 2022 partnership or S corporation tax return, you need to complete it and e-file or have it postmarked by September 15, 2023.
Extended individual tax returns due
If you got a filing extension on your 2022 tax return, you need to complete it and e-file or have it postmarked by October 16, 2023.
