Powers Accounting and Business Services, Inc. is looking to onboard a bookkeeper coordinator / administrative assistant.

Required Experience

- Strong computer skills: proficient in Excel and Word

Small Business Specialist – Accounting:
Responsibilities
- Manage the working relationships with our small business clients providing Tax, Business and Accounting support and advice monthly
- Analysis of client financial performance and consulting to improve their businesses
- Review monthly management reports produced by bookkeepers
- Supervise and support our financial intelligence production team
- Complete Business and Individual tax returns
- Complete and review sales tax returns
- Work independently in team environment
- Excellent communication skills with small business owners and a problem solver
- Be open in mindset, with a positive outlook and willingness to learn new things
- Supporting our niche market of successful clients with their payroll, bookkeeping and tax functions troubleshooting problems
- Owning the client experience including setting up new clients on our internal systems
- Helping our client compliance by Training new clients on our systems and procedures
- Knowledge of QBO and QuickBooks desktop important, full training will be provided
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with small business owners
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in tax related areas
- Ability to communicate clearly with many different types of people
- EA, CPA or equivalent required – or ability to achieve in under a year
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred
- High motivation level with self-starter and can-do attitude
- Be able to function with minimal supervision
